My mug is pink and bluey
Such an innocent type of beauty
Covered in strawberry swirls like candy
Filled with warm sweet coffee and brandy
My mug smells of cinnamon
The sugary scents surround me like a sinful embrace
I can feel the burn of it on my face
Swallow slow sips you say, one…two…three
Feel it sting like venom in my veins
My mug breaks as it falls from my hands
Rapid heartbeat, slow shaking steps, a sizzling pain in my stomach
Darkness swirls in the edges of my vision
My body meets the ground in an instant, drawn together like forbidden lovers at sea
Suddenly, I believe that I am set free

I really liked the poem and how it started very light and ended in a darker way and I like the simile about the lovers.
